1: Weekend Tour – Mid Wales 13th to 15th April 2012
About the Tour
This motorcycling weekend is based in mid Wales where we will be staying at a 4* hotel in Llandrindod Wells. We have used this hotel in the past and it offers spa facilities, a swimming pool with sauna and steamroom and a gym for those of you who are on the more energetic side of life than we are!
The stay is for 2 nights Dinner, Bed and Breakfast. Breakfast is a hot and cold buffet style, whilst Dinner is in the restaurant where you will be able to choose from a 3 course set menu (3 choices per course).
But when all said and done, it’s not the hotel you’ve really come for is it? It’s more about the riding and what this wonderful part of the UK has to offer. We will take you through the market town of Abergavenny, visit Tintern Abbey which was a monastery originally built in 1131 and continued to have building works over the following 400 years. The present day remains of the Abbey are well worth a visit.
We have the Brecon Beacons National Park to explore, the Black Mountains, The Elan Valley, Devils Bridge, (which according to legend had to be built by the Devil himself as it was deemed too difficult for mere mortals to construct……!). We have the wonderful coastal roads in this area around Aberystwyth and there are also fantastic roads heading towards Newtown, Dollgellau and Bala.
All in all a wonderful plethora of roads and scenery for you to take in..... and you get to do it all on your motorbike!
